Transaction Account Guarantee Program
Independence Bank is participating in the FDIC's Transaction Account Guarantee Program. Under that program, through December 31, 2010, all noninterest-bearing transaction accounts are fully guaranteed by the FDIC for the entire amount in the account. Coverage under the Transaction Account Guarantee Program is in addition to and separate from the coverage available under the FDIC's general deposit insurance rules
Consolidation of Federal Reserve Check Processing Centers
As a result of the consolidation of check processing centers Independence Bank has amended our Funds Availability Policy. All checks drawn on banks located within the United States are now considered local items and funds will generally be available by the second business day after the day of your deposit. In limited cases funds may be delayed until the seventh business day after the day of your deposit. Please contact us at 832-615-6800 with any questions.
