NOTICE TO OUR CUSTOMERS

 
On May 5, 2011 our ATM located at 13100 Northwest Freeway was vandalized.  The ATM was damaged beyond repair and was removed.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause our customers.   Independence Bank will reimburse customers up to $20  per statement cycle in ATM fees assessed at another Bank.   Please contact customer service at 832-615-6804 for further information or with additional questions. 

NOTICE OF CHANGES INTEMPORARY FDIC INSURANCE
COVERAGE FOR TRANSACTION ACCOUNTS
 
All funds in a “noninterest-bearing transaction account” are insured in full by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation from December 31, 2010, through December 31, 2012. This temporary unlimited coverage is in addition to, and separate from, the coverage of at least $250,000 available to depositors under the FDIC’s general deposit insurance rules.
 
The term “noninterest-bearing transaction account” includes a traditional checking account or demand deposit account on which the insured depository institution pays no interest. It also includes Interest on Lawyers Trust Accounts (“IOLTAs”).   It does not include other accounts, such as traditional checking or demand deposit accounts that may earn interest, NOW accounts and money-market deposit accounts. CONSOLIDATION OF FEDERAL RESERVE CHECK PROCESSING CENTERS

As a result of the consolidation of check processing centers Independence Bank has amended our Funds Availability Policy.  All checks drawn on banks located within the United States are now considered local items and funds will generally be available by the second business day after the day of your deposit.  In limited cases funds may be delayed until the seventh business day after the day of your deposit.  Please contact us at 832-615-6800 with any questions.
